A hearty thanks to Grass Root Gardens
To the editor:
Earlier this summer, I entered the Grass Roots Gardens July Photo contest by submitting a couple of photos from my garden. A few days ago I was notified that one of my photos won second place.
For this honor, I received a piece of pottery made by Grass Roots Garden employee Jimmy Richardson. The pottery piece is beautiful, and my cut flowers look pretty and feel so at home in this lovely container!
My garden in Maggie Valley has been in the making for a dozen years and it features a treasure of many blooming flowers that smile with breathtaking colors.
My garden has matured over this 12-year period, creating a picturesque landscape that offers the perfect backdrop from which to enjoy the mountains that surround our western North Carolina summer home.
I have purchased perennials and bedding plants at many of the garden centers in the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area and I am grateful that Grass Roots Gardens offers so many varieties of healthy plants and flowers from which to choose.
The owners and staff at Grass Roots willingly provide the best of the best in advice for planting and maintaining the garden, and for that they deserve an A+ rating.
Thank you, Grass Roots Gardens, for making me and my posies smile. Here is a picture from my garden taken three days ago that will make all Moutaineer readers smile.
